Frank Sekeris's business card reads "Wizard of Joy." His mission? "I'm a wizard in training and a humorist philosopher!"

The first thing that strikes you about Frank is his incredible sense of humor. His resume would be a litany of miscellaneous talents and professions, including teacher, public speaker, leader, student, camp director, world traveler, author, bungee jumper, empowerer, numerologist, and almost Catholic priest.

"Just before I was to take my final vows I heard, audibly, a big yawn, as though a higher self was moaning, "Oh, are we going to do this again?" Embarrassed because I was sure everyone else had heard it too, I got out of line and went to a quiet place to go within and figure this out. It was my first encounter with what I have come to know as "spirit." The voice reminded me of all my lives as clergy and suggested that by expanding the word "priest" to include "tour guide," there would be no limitation to my audience. Needless to say, those vows are still loitering around somewhere waiting for me to merge."

With the decision not to join the priesthood came a whirlwind of new ideas and opportunities—from tea leaf reading to some dramatic meditations and ultimately to the Seth material. Frank comments, "Seth has to be Teacher One among all my inspirations. Like no one else, Seth validated what I had already experienced and knew was true. His humorous yet scientific style was exactly what a mental guy like me needed."

Soon after Frank read a few of Seth's books he became an armchair philosopher and "messed things up" by trying to fix everyone. Now that his body is older and he's more mellow, he facilitates Seth Discussion Groups and has stopped playing The Repair Man. It's also his twelfth year as an SNI Focal Person.

"The big change for me occurred when my body was 42 years old. My adventure into physical reality had brought all the adjectives that were both wonderful and boring. So I moved fun, risk, excitement, laughter, etc., to the top of my list, and about six weeks later a bucket of joy fell on my head. Sure I lost all the friends who claimed, "Frank, you can't be happy all the time!," but of course I proved them wrong because I create my own reality. Seth has convinced me that none of us "go it alone," yet we'll still flirt with spiritual hernias by doing things the hard way."

Frank is currently working on a book about the nine personalities he believes that he and everyone else has. He calls them "my nine children." His goal is to make schizophrenia functional. "Wisdom must be practical," he says, "or it's not worth the energy it takes to utter!" And so this Wizard of Joy jumps into another day to lighten loads and "let the devil know that goodness still kicks ass."

Statistically, human beings spend approximately one third of their lives asleep. Some people think this is a terrible waste of time, but not Jean Roth! Her dream time has created a life full of excitement, joy, art, and fellowship.

Jean Roth is a native of Canada, born on the beautiful plains of Saskatchewan. She now calls Edmonton (the capitol of Alberta) her home. Naturally creative, Jean has been an interior designer, teacher, painter, writer, and healer. She is very active in an art club, the Unitarian Church, the Rosicrucian Order, Reiki healing, as well as sound, color and vibrational energy healing. She holds dream workshops and offers dream interpretation over the phone and by mail.

"A friend gave me Seth Speaks back in 1976. Now I have all the books. There are a number of good books out there, but the Seth books are the whole jigsaw puzzle, while others are just a piece." Jean spent ten years working with her own dreams and eventually went public. She keeps her dream workshops small to provide ample time for sharing and exploration. She recommends the Seth books to all of her students. "I call it [the class] the Three R's: Remembering, Recording, and Resolving. Dreams are the best tools in the world for learning about the subconscious. They build a bridge between the subconscious and the conscious. This makes a whole person." Jean has presented her dreamwork workshops at the Austin Seth Conference and the Ottawa Seth Conference, and she and her son David presented a two day Seth Conference in Edmonton.

Jean's life took a different turn when she began to apply the Sethian principals. "The phrases, 'I create my own reality,' and 'my point of power is now,' helped me to make changes in my life. I used them in my meditation and things began to change!"

The first Seth class Jean attended began an experiment with the Ouija board, as described in The Coming of Seth. She joined up with another member of the group and began to meet weekly to work on dreams, then ask questions of the Ouija board for solutions. Soon Jean progressed to hearing the answers while her partner recorded the information. After a break in the work, Jean began to receive teachings from her higher self through automatic writing. The information has helped guide her in her personal and spiritual growth.

Jean considers herself a mystic. She explains, "I am on a spiritual journey, but I am also on a mystical journey. The difference is that a spiritual journey is exploring the inner self, and the mystical journey is being aware of a greater power in the universe that you are attached to and is part of you. Rob often commented that he saw Jane as a mystic."

Jean raised three sons, two of whom have embraced the philosophies of metaphysics and the Seth material. Her eldest son David uses meditation and visualization for his work in architectural design. Jean spends her summers oil painting on the prairies or mountains of western Canada and the winter months teaching classes and giving presentations on dreamwork.
