In 1979, Dr. Maude Cardwell, a professor at the University of Texas, formed the nonprofit Austin Seth Center (ASC). Its purpose was to become a focal point for Seth readers, a place where they could gather to be with others of like mind. Maude started printing a small newsletter that eventually grew into a booklet-size magazine called Reality Change.
In 1992, Dr. Cardwell departed this plane, but not before passing the gauntlet over to Stan Ulkowski and Lynda Dahl. The focus that was ASC moved then from Austin, Texas to Eugene, Oregon and became Seth Network International (SNI). SNI Re-focused and redesigned Reality Change. It became a full-scale magazine with articles written by Seth readers the world over.
Reality Change: The Global Seth Journal went out of print in mid-1998 due to SNI's lower than expected income. In 1999, SNI itself shifted to "inactive" status. Details of that event may be read in Lynda Dahl's letter of June, 30 1999. In the meantime, back issues of Reality Change from SNI and ASC will continue to be available at the Brass Ring Bookstore as long as they are in stock. (Call the Brass Ring Bookstore office for availability 541/683-0803.)
Dedicated to exploring the Seth/Jane Roberts material, the goal of Reality Change was to creatively explore and present Seth and Jane Roberts' ideas through an excellent platform of contributions and insights from Seth readers. Reality Change acted as a point of contact for readers and created a forum for discussion of its concepts.
Cover stories explored broad topics such as connecting to nature, art and creativity, Seth and quantum physics, and how mass events spring from our inner environment. Besides compelling and practical feature stories on all aspects of Jane Roberts' work, RC offered:
