"The Festival" Dream Experience

submitted by Mary Dillman

As published in the Volume 1 - Winter 2000 edition of Brass Ring Bookstore Perspectives

Had the following dream experience last night.  I feel it's very significant but actually I don't recall many details.  The dream itself seemed to consist of a terrific joyful state of consciousness that lasted, or so it seemed, a good part of the entire night.  I awakened - I had to blow my nose - wanting to return to the dream state as soon as possible to continue the experience, and I guess I did because I vaguely remember later snatches.  Anyhow, how I got the dream data I don't recall, maybe a voice told me.  God decreed that following Christmas holidays, a new festival be established, lasting perhaps several days.  During this time the world would be... in a particular state of grace:  the balances of probabilities would shift toward the actualization of good beneficial events; that is, they would happen more easily than usual, so that things you wanted to happen, but were afraid wouldn't, would...  The festival or festivals somehow included community participation, families and neighborhoods getting together, rather than, say solitary events.  Even people who died during this time would join in the festivities in their spirit bodies.

In the beginning as I was being told all this, I said that... people were all pooped from the holidays and it would be difficult for them to accept another festive period, but my objections were completely wiped away as the explanation continued.  My state of consciousness was terrific though;  I was filled with a light humor; laughing with joy and appreciation - the festivals involved the entire world and the very best events happened with ease.  I was also aware that my body in bed was amazingly comfortable, relaxed and light...  At the same time while this was in present time, I wondered once if... the decree had been actually made in the past or might have involved another civilization originally.  Was I being asked to set up or initiate such a festival?  Possibly...  I'm not sure.

People may have had informal processions through each others' houses as neighbors interrelated.

Seth commented on Jane's dream in the deleted session for January 7, 1981:

The festival incident of the dream state was highly fascinating, and it did represent a particular state of consciousness above all - one in which reality is perceived in a different fashion.  The dream reflected and updated old Sumari traditions that honored God as a god of festivals, of celebration, traditions, that built upon the idea of life itself as a celebration.

The dream also served as a framework allowing him to intuitively and psychically and biologically perceive the emotional reality of Framework 2.  That is, he participated in its emotional content.  The healing processes were then accelerated.

You should both to some extent have further experiences now in all areas of your life with the magical or natural kind of orientation to physical events.  That orientation does indeed "tip the balance" in terms of probabilities on your behalfs.  You will experience feelings of effortlessness as the goals once considered, say, quite difficult are achieved - seemingly they occur by themselves.

It seems you need certain practical instructions that involve direct experience, immediate feedback, and Ruburt has been receiving some of that in the dream state, and also to some extent in his waking reality; as he begins to trust the feelings of support and relation.

Remember again that the intellect can see only so far, and that it uses the cause-and-effect kind of logic, while magical events leapfrog that kind of orientation... Ruburt's dream, by the way, also signaled him that he is now approaching what the Sumarians used to call "the time of festivals," or a time of grace.  All of their ceremonies were joyful and life-giving.
