Our purpose in producing this newsletter is two fold. First, it provides a mechanism to market our product offerings. Second, and much more important, it provides us with an opportunity to keep in touch with other like-minded individuals.
Building community around new thought concepts, ideas, and events is a strong motivating force behind the efforts at Brass Ring. In June of 1999, as various events lead to the suspension of activities at Seth Network International (SNI), we offered to maintain the SNI database as our contribution to help keep some form of the network in place. Our intent, at the same time was to use our catalogs and publications as a way to keep former SNI members and other interested parties informed of national events, regional activities, and individual pursuits that promote Sethian ideas and stimulate new thought. This newsletter is, in part, the result of that intent.
For those of you interested in locating others around the world that share similar ideas, we will continue to maintain the local person world roster developed by Seth Network International. This list will be updated on an irregular basis as new people find us through the Internet, by phone, and through the mail, and as receive address changes through the normal course of business and contact. If you have an interest in being included as a focal person, would like to offer your name as a pen pal, or maintain a regular Seth group in your area, please contact us with the relevant information.
The promotional pages of the newsletter contain new product announcements and a complete listing of Brass Ring products. Our offerings include works from leading authors and traditional publishers, materials developed over the years by SNI (through the talents of Stan Ulkowski, Lynda Dahl, and the talents of former SNI staff), and unique offerings by new authors and new publishers devoted to expanding the boundaries of human potential. We hope that you will take some time to explore the new items that will appear. Keep an eye out for our discounted products and close out specials and let us know if you find something of interest.
We are continually searching for new publications and materials to add to our catalog that support our mission and objectives. This mission, both in product offerings and personal intent, is to push the barriers of thought just enough to stimulate new ideas that help ourselves and others consciously create our world to the fulfillment of all. Materials that serve to connect people in the pursuit of individual fulfillment and those that explore the expansion of consciousness are of particular interest. We also are interested in publications that serve to stimulate the expression of new ideas or those that facilitate the conscious creation of individual reality. Such works are of tremendous personal value to us as we explore the fundamental tenets behind the creation of physical reality. We believe that we can significantly alter our personal and global experiences by developing an understanding of the true nature of our physical experience. Books, videotapes and associated materials that serve to facilitate such an understanding are the types of products that we want to make available to the people that read our newsletter and catalog. So, if you have found a work that supports the expansion of your personal awareness, fulfillment, and creative expression that is missing from our product list, we would love to hear from you.
Moving forward, we hope to produce a newsletter two or three times a year. We will be looking for volunteer writers for upcoming issues, so if you have an interest in contributing, please contact us for a set of writer's guidelines. Our future issues may include letters and comments from readers, a book review or highlight section, and we may add some additional informational features. However, these plans have yet to be formalized. This is a new experience for us, so any and all feedback concerning content and format is welcome.
On behalf of our president, Mary Rouen, and myself we hope that you will enjoy the collection of information contained in the pages of Brass Ring Perspectives. We have enjoyed the connections our little store has made with some of you over the past year and look forward to sharing our wares and ideas in the future.
